SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS
With GCF in Mexico

You and your congregation have an unprecedented opportunity to become involved in missions on a truly global scale as you partner with Community Fellowship Missions.

Thousands of people around the world are coming to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as short-term volunteer mission teams are going and giving. Yet the stark reality remains: 1.7 billion people still have little or no access to the gospel message. People from all over the world are coming to the Riviera Maya of Mexico. We need your help as we make a global impact. You can come to the Riviera Maya and join us on mission as we reach out in love to three very different people groups. The local Mayan speakers, the Mexican Spanish speakers, and the Internationals living and working in the area.

We also are mobilizing and training local believers to go on mission to other parts of the world. You can learn how your church can join us in this effort as you read about our 3-way mission partnerships.

Qualifications to be an GCF Volunteer

• All team leaders must be a born again believer in Jesus Christ.
• Volunteers must pay their own way.
• All volunteers must be willing to work within missionary field strategies and be willing to go where needed
• All volunteer missionaries much purchase mission insurance. Most of our groups use Adams and Associates Inc. 

The Process

Volunteer teams respond to requests from the mission field. Occasionally, there are requests for a single individual, but most are for teams varying in size according to the need of the job. Therefore, when a church, association, individual, or other entity accepts a job, it is expected that the one accepting the job will enlist a sufficient number of qualified members required to complete the job.

When you feel God leading you to serve as a volunteer, you may wonder, “Just how do I go about this?” The steps below will help guide you along this exciting journey.

• Step One: Prayerfully consider where God would have you serve and the type of ministry He would have you perform. Email Doug@church-in-playa.com to talk about possible dates and mission task. Put a date on the Calendar if possible


• Step Two: Involve other appropriate individuals and/or groups in this decision — your church, association, organization, etc.


• Step Three: Check out the volunteer job request on this site that are of interest to you.


• Step Four: If you feel led to accept a job listed on the site, contact Doug by email and confirm team size and date
